A MESSAGE FROM TIM
I talk to a lot of parents who are exhausted, not from the day-to-day of raising kids, but from trying to get it perfect.
Here's what I've come to believe: your kids don't need a perfect parent. They need a present one. They need someone who's done the work on themselves first, so they're not accidentally handing down their own unhealed places. That's a much harder job than "perfect" and a much more honest one.
This week's podcast guest has spent her career teaching exactly that. Keep reading,I think this conversation is going to shift how you think about parenting, whether your kids are five or twenty-five.
Love,
Tim
Scottsdale Is Coming Together
October 17–18, 2026 | Scottsdale, Arizona
Purpose. Wealth. Relationships. Manifestation. Breakthrough.
A month from now, I'll be standing in front of an intimate room in Scottsdale, the kind of room where real conversations happen, not just presentations.
Five areas. Two days. One room built for people who are ready to be honest about where they are and intentional about where they're going.
I'll be sharing more about who's in that room soon. For now, just know: if something in you has been stirring toward this, that's usually a sign worth paying attention to.

🎙️ Episode 57: Dr. Shefali | Your Guide to Raising Conscious Daughters and Sons in the Digital Age
Between social media, toxic masculinity, and the rise of AI, being the "perfect parent" in 2026 can feel impossible. But what if perfect was never the goal?
Dr. Shefali, founder of the Conscious Parenting movement, joins me to talk about her two newest books, Raising Conscious Daughters and Raising Conscious Sons. Dr. Shefali is a New York Times bestselling author who blends Western psychology and Eastern philosophy, and she's spent her career helping people heal their past so they can parent from a whole place instead of a wounded one.
In this conversation, Dr. Shefali and I get into:
● The unique challenges facing girls and boys today anxiety, people-pleasing, and the pull of the manosphere
● Why chasing "perfect parent" status actually hurts your kids and what to aim for instead
● How to become a more present, honest parent even if you didn't have that modeled for you
● What healing your own past has to do with raising healthy kids the connection most parents miss
If you've ever felt like you're failing at parenting no matter how hard you try, this episode will change how you see the whole thing.
Closing Message
Dr. Shefali said something today that I haven't stopped thinking about: healing yourself is the greatest gift you can give your children.
That's true for parenting. It's true for building a business. It's true for the next chapter you're walking into. The work you do on yourself is never wasted, it becomes the foundation for everything and everyone you touch.
Keep climbing,
Tim
