A MESSAGE FROM TIM
My mother is 95, and she still has a great sense of humor. I'm convinced that's part of why she's still going strong.
I've spent my life around some of the most driven people on the planet, and I've noticed the same thing in them. The ones who handle pressure best can almost always laugh, especially at themselves. They take their purpose seriously, but they don't take every bad day seriously.
So here's your assignment this week, and it's the easy kind:
Laugh on purpose. Call the friend who cracks you up. Watch the clip that gets you every time. Tell the story about your most embarrassing moment and let everybody enjoy it with you. Joy isn't a distraction from your purpose. It's fuel for it.
Do it on a Tuesday for no reason. Your mind and your heart will thank you.
